BASIC DRIVING EXERCISES FOR TRAILER

What basic driving exercises are there:

Each task may be repeated once.
This part of the test is not passed if the applicant
• does not perform a basic driving task correctly even when repeating the exercise
• insufficiently observes the traffic and this results in a hazard

• Forcing the driving instructor to intervene
If this part of the test is not passed, vehicles must still be connected and disconnected.

1. Reverse around a corner to the left

Contents of the basic driving exercise:

Stop as far to the right as possible and reverse the vehicle combination to the left without hitting the curb or crossing the lane boundary. Stop the vehicle combination at a maximum distance of 1 m from the wider vehicle parallel to the curb or the lane boundary.

Error evaluation:

• Failure to request that the rear traffic area be secured

• Insufficient observation of traffic

• Driving onto the curb or crossing the lane boundary

• Not nearly stopped parallel to the curb or the lane boundary

• More than 1 m from the wider vehicle to the curb or road - Limitation when stopping

• Do not stop if the line of sight to the person behind the traffic control is broken

• Do not operate the backstop (if available)

• More than three correction moves
